Sheikh Rashid of Dubai buys first supersonic private jet for $80M


I’m sorry, Ok!? I know this one is a bit off topic, but I am hostage to my aviation aficionado sensibilities. The Aerion is a private jet which travels at a brisk Mach 1.6 and will get Sheikh Rashid from Dubai to London in a little over 3 hours. The price: a mere $80M.
Previously, billionaires like Larry Ellison had to resort to obtaining special permissions from the government to buy a short range, uncomfortable, and highly impractical Mig jet. Well, now he has something to upgrade to! More pictures and a video after the break
